What is it?
BuSpar is an antianxiety agent, used primarily for relief of mild to moderate anxiety and nervous tension. This drug is useful in treating the elderly, alcoholics, or people that have a history of addiction.
How do you take it?
Actual dosage must be determined by a physician. Start dosage is usually 5mg 3 times daily.
What are the side effects?
Some people experience side effects like dizziness, nausea, headache, nervousness, lightheadedness, and excitement. These side effects are usually not serious enough to make most people stop taking BuSpar.
What precautions should be taken?
BuSpar works gradually, over a 2 to 4 week period, to provide effective relief of generalized anxiety disorder symptoms. It is prudent to avoid using BuSpar and alcohol at the same time.
