Beclazone is a corticosteroid prescribed for the prevention of asthma. It is taken via inhaler and works by reducing the inflammation in your airways to help your breathing return to normal.

Dosage & Administration
Always follow your health care provider’s instructions for using your Beclazone inhaler. You usually need to use Beclazone everyday for as long as your health care provider tells you, even if you have no symptoms of asthma. It may take several days to see an effect from this medication. Do not suddenly stop taking this medication or change your dose.

If you forget to take your medication, take it as soon as you remember and continue your regular schedule. Always carry your Beclazone inhaler with you.

Do not give Beclazone to anyone it has not been prescribed for.

Side Effects
Common side effects of Beclazone include a sore mouth, throat or a thrush infection in your mouth, abdominal pain, or vomiting. If you experience these symptoms and they persist or get worse, contact your health care provider.

Rare side effects include irritability, disturbed sleep or anxiety. If you experience any of these symptoms, call your health care provider if they worry you.

Symptoms of an allergic reaction include swelling of the throat, lips, mouth or face, or skin rashes or redness, itching, dizziness, and difficulty swallowing or breathing. If you have an allergic reaction, seek immediate emergency medical treatment.

Precautions
Do not take Beclazone if you are allergic to it or to any other ingredients in the medication. Tell your health care provider if you are allergic to any other medications, preservatives, foods or dyes, or if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking any other medications for asthma.

If you have an infection, tell your health care provider as Beclazone may cover up symptoms of the infection.

Make sure your health care provider knows of any other prescription, nonprescription and herbal remedies you are taking.

Do not use this medication to treat asthma attacks.

If you are having an surgery, including dental surgery, make sure the treating surgeon knows you are taking Beclazone.
