USE
Crestor is prescribed to lower lipids in the blood (cholesterol and trigylcerides) where dieting and exercise has failed.

DOSAGE
You should consult your doctor to come up with the correct dosage for your condition but generally, patients start with 10 mg of Crestor once a day (The maximum dosage is 40mg).

Taken with or without food, you should take Crestor whole with a glass of water, any time of the day.

Unless you become pregnant or are told so by your doctor you should not abruptly stop taking Crestor once started.

SIDE EFFECTS
The following side effects are common and usually mild and disappear after a short amount of time.

A small amount of patients saw increases in protein in their urine, felt unexplained pains and aches in their muscles and increases of liver enzymes but did not develop any symptoms, in these cases their enzymes levels returned to normal after stopping treatment.

Before or during treatment of Crestor, your doctor should carry out liver function tests.
