Use
Daonil is an anti-diabetic medication used to help control the blood sugar levels of patients suffering from type II diabetes. It works by increasing the amount of insulin produced by the pancreas.
Dosage and Administration
Normally swallowed whole with a glass of water, alongside the first meal of the day.
Always dose as prescribed by your doctor. Never change your dosage, or stop using Daonil unless recommended by your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Daonil, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as normal.
Side Effect
The following list includes the most common side effects associated with using Daonil. If any become bothersome, or persistent, consult your doctor.
- Nausea or abdominal pains
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Constipation
- Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar level
- Abnormal vision changes
- Weight gain
- Increased appetite
- Inflammation of the liver
- Abnormal blood cell count
- Indigestion

Precautions
Prior to taking Daonil, discuss fully your medical history and any prescription or non-prescription medication you take with your doctor. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, are breast feeding, or if you have had any of the following.
- Any allergies
- Kidney problems
- Liver problems
- Adrenal gland problems
- Any blood disorders, such as porphyria
Whilst using Daonil:
- Ensure you know how to recognise the symptoms associated with hypoglycaemia, such as sweating, paleness, headaches, faintness, and drowsiness
- If you are undergoing any surgery, always inform the doctor or dentist beforehand that you are using Daonil
- Take special care when driving for long periods or operating heavy and dangerous machinery until you know how Daonil affects you. Take regular breaks
- Never share your medication, even if someone has the same condition as you
- Unless recommended by your doctor never change your dosage, start, or stop using Daonil
- If you think you have overdosed, seek immediate medical attention
