Use
Deflazen is a corticosteroid which helps to reduce inflammation and to suppress the immune system. It is used to treat a wide variety of different conditions and diseases including severe asthma, allergies, arthritis, and collagen disease.
Dosage and Administration
Always dose and take as directed by your health care provider. Never change your dosage or stop taking Deflazen without first consulting your health care provider.
Deflazen is usually taken once daily at the same time, with food, in the morning.
Side Effect
The following side effects do not usually require any medical attention, however if they become bothersome contact your health care provider.
- Stomach pains, Bloating or Indigestion
- Ulcer
- Thrush
- Irregular or abnormal menstation
- Weight gain
- Abnormal hair growth
- Increased appetite
- Abnormal mood changes
- Insomnia
- Increased vulnerability to infections
- Eye pains or abnormal sight
- Easy bruising or bleeding
- Acne
- Swelling
- Nausea
- Hiccups
- Eye pains
- Reddened skin
Precautions
Prior to taking Deflazen discuss your medical history with your health care provider. Inform your health care provider if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, are breast feeding, or you have or have had any of the following.
- Any allergies
- Any other medications you are using, whether prescribed, or non-prescription
- Any hereditary problems
Whilst using Deflazen:
- Keep all appointments with your health care provider
- Always consult your health care provider before ceasing use of this medication
- Never change your dosage unless recommended by your health care provider
- Take extra care driving, or operating heavy and dangerous machinery
If you think you have overdosed, seek immediate medical attention.
