This package comes with capsules containing dutasteride and a separate strip of capsules containing tamsulosin, which is sold under the name brand Flomax. The dutasteride capsules prevent the conversion of testosterone to a substance called DHT, which has been associated with the occurrence of enlarged prostate. Side effects of dutasteride include a decreased sex drive, less semen released during sex, impotence, or breast tenderness. Side effects are usually very mild and diminish with time. Also, it is important to note that men who are allergic to sulfa drugs may also be allergic to Flomax.
