Use
Endace is a synthetic progesterone prescribed primarily in the treatment of certain types of cancer and certain conditions of the female reproductive system. Endace can also be used to in various other ways, including as an appetite enhancer for patients experiencing significant weight loss,
Dosage and Administration
Always take as directed by your doctor. Never change your dose, start, or stop using Endace unless recommended by your doctor. Note that your dosage will vary dependent upon the condition being treated and your medical history.
To be taken orally, usually once per day at the same time.
If your condition has not improved after several weeks of use, be sure to inform your doctor.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If however it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Never double-up a dose to compensate for a previous missed dose.
Side Effect
The following side effects are usually mild, not requiring any medical attention. If however they persist, worsen, or become bothersome, inform your doctor promptly.
- Impotence
- Insomnia
- Abnormal gas
- Difficulty breathing
- Diarrhea
- Constipation
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding
Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of the more serious side effects listed below.
- Headaches
- Nausea or vomiting
- Dizziness and weakness
- Blurred vision
- Extreme thirst or hunger
- Abnormally frequent urination
- Vision change
- Speech difficulties
- Difficulty breathing
- Abnormal heartbeat
- Muscle pains
- Chest pains
- Swelling of the hands or feet
- Rashes
Precautions
Prior to taking Endace, discuss fully your medical history and any prescription or non-prescription medication you take with your doctor. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, are breast feeding, or if you have had any of the following.
- Any allergies
- Diabetes
- A Liver disease
- A kidney problems
- A mood disorder
- A blood clotting problem
- Any heart conditions, such as a stroke or hypertension
- Any adrenal gland problems
- Congestive heart failure
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding
Whilst using Endace:
- If you have diabetes, pay extra attention to your blood sugar levels
- If undergoing any surgery, always inform the doctor or dentist performing the surgery you are using Endace
- Keep all appointments with your doctor
- Never share your medication, even with someone who has the same condition as you
- If you think you have overdosed, seek immediate medical attention
