Never abruptly change your dosage without consulting your doctor. Generally patients are started on 15mg per day, taken in a single dose usually before bedtime with or without food. For best results you should take Remeron at the same time every day. It may take 1 to 4 weeks before you notice an improvement in your symptoms. SIDE EFFECTS Common side effects include constipation, dry mouth, dizziness, sleepiness, weakness, increased appetite or weight gain, abnormal thoughts or dreams, flu symptoms. If any of the above persist or worsen, always inform your doctor. More serious side effects may include confusion, difficulty breathing, fluid retention, frequent urinating, nausea, swelling of ankles or hands, tremors (shaking) and back or muscle pain, signs of infection, severe mood changes, if you have any of these symptoms you should contact your doctor immediately. PRECAUTIONS Before taking Remeron, you should always declare all medication you are taking or have taken within two weeks, including non prescriptive medication and recreational drugs. You should not take Remeron in combination with MAO inhibitors, antidepressants, Nardil, or Parnate as this may result in a fatal reaction. Also check with your doctor if you are combining traquilizers such as Valium, Xanax and Ativan. You should also let your doctor know of your family medical history to better assess your situation, especially inform your doctor of any psychiatric disorders, suicidal attempts, mania (extreame high spirits), hypomania (mild excitability), liver, kidney or heart diseases, strokes, seizures, high blood cholesterol or triglyceride levels, low blood pressure or dehydration (severe loss of body fluids). Remeron can make you feel light headed and dizzy therefore you should refrain from using machinery or driving until you know how the medication affects you. Delivery Time: 7-14 Days
