What is it used for?
Mycostatin is an anti-fungal medication, primarily for the treatment of oral or intestinal yeast infections.
How do you take it?
For the treatment of most fungal conditions, you will be prescribed 1 or 2 tablets, 3 times daily for up to 5 days. However you should only use Mycostatin oral tablets as directed by your doctor. You are advised to keep taking Mycostatin for the prescribed period of time to avoid reinfection.
What are the side effects?
The occurrence of side effects after taking Mycostatin is considered to be rare. However some people may experience diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea or vomiting.
What precautions should be taken?
Taking Mycostatin alongside other medications may result in experiencing unwanted side effects. You should tell your doctor if you are taking any other medications, including homeopathic remedies, before taking Mycostatin.
