Use
Metoral is a thiazide type diuretic used primarily to treat hypertension and reduce the risk of associated conditions such as congestive heart failure, heart attack, stroke, and kidney problems. It also reduces fluid retention and swelling resulted from heart or kidney disease. It works by reducing the amount of water reabsorbed by the kidney into the bloodstream, and as a result lowering blood pressure
Dosage and Administration
Always use as directed by your health care provider. Never change your dosage, start, or stop using Metoral unless advised by your health care provider. Dosage will vary dependent upon the condition and the patient being treated. It is important to stick to the course of medication prescribed by your health care provider even if you feel well.
Metoral is to be taken orally, with or without food. It is usually taken once daily in the morning or afternoon to avoid needing to wake up at night to urinate.
If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. If however it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue as normal. Never double-up a dose to compensate for a previous missed one.
