Its active ingredient Sertraline is in the same family as Aropax and Prozac (Serotonin uptake inhibitors – or SSRIs). It is used for all types of depression and disorders, and can be prescribed for other uses. How do you take it? Zoloft should be taken once daily, either in the morning or evening, or as prescribed by your doctor. What are the side effects? The most common side effects include upset stomach, having trouble sleeping, diarrhoea, dry mouth, sexual side effects, feeling unusually sleepy or tired, tremor, indigestion, increase of sweating, feeling agitated, and decreased appetite.
