What is Zyprima?
Zyprima is used to treat Erectile Dysfunction. It is a type of dopamine agonist that enhances nerve signals sent from the brain to the penis, in order to help cause an erection. It is worth noting that this medication does not increase the patient's libido and does not contain any form of aphrodisiac, so patients need to be sexually aroused in order for the medication to be effective.
How is Zyprima used?
Before dosing patients are advised to drink some fluids to moisten their mouth and tongue. One tablet is then placed underneath the tongue and left to dissolve. If after 20 minutes the tablet has not entirely dissolved, wash the remainder down with a glass of water.
Zyprima should normally be taken approximately 15-30 minutes before sexual activity. Leave a gap of at least 8 hours between dosing.
